Professional Training Days
We Are The Kids That Never Grew Up
From
13 February onward, we have come forward together as a group of 80 folks who
share a common experience and interest.
Let’s
face the fact: being an adult, especially becoming an educator can feel like a bit of regret and
nostalgia when we watch our students make fun of and enjoy each and every bit
of student moment like we used to do in our earlier student life. But
the truth is we can’t go back so couldn’t have my desired childhood
entertainment until a call from NAPD. Auspiciously, the days in NAPD offered us
that desired student life.
We Look Better in School Uniforms
During
the lockdown period due to the Pandemic situation, life became motionless and
dull. Many lockdowns later, we were starting to re-emerge from our still life
which undisputedly boosted our effort to deal with the new normal of the world.
Luckily, the FTC call came and all of it started with physical exercise and
wearing the same white uniform. The fear of getting late made us sleepless and after
not doing anything physical for so long, it was quite a bit of a struggle at
the beginning. A few days later, we were able to turn the pains into pleasure
and entertainment. The white PT uniform provided us with the nostalgic feeling
of childhood.
Bringing Back Memories of the Good
Old Day
Some
people may say that the FTC venue is a place where you study, study, and study
and nothing else but, we proved them wrong through all our experiences over the
past four months. Some of us were really afraid as the place is new, most of
the participants were new, and lots of challenges which was outside of our
comfort zone. But soon, we started enjoying the prescribed and disciplined
life. With age, some people become more judgmental some less judgmental. The
good news is, that the ones who joined the FTC program were of the latter kind
of people.
NAPD
days can be described in different ways, like full of surprises, craziness, and
many more, but the all in all description of what was like our old school days
are; Fun, wild and memorable. Fun in a way that we interact with our training mates
and formed an ally to do crazy things in our classroom and sometimes no one can
notice even like our school days. Along with attending sessions from dawn to
dusk, we had fun as we did in our campus days. The Breathing space was a
remarkable place as whenever we got time, we used to chill in that beautifully
designed place.
Another
thing I loved about my training life is cultural events. Every month, the
Authority of NAPD helped the participants organize a mess night and finally a
guest night. In these events, participants from eighty different colleges
across the country performed and showcased their talents to everyone.
Particularly, the rehearsal parts were full of fun and unforgettable. The dances
of amateur style at late night in the dormitory were something I never want to
forget
Last
but not the least, it’s the trips (Own Village Attachment, Day long Trip, Study
Tour) where we went out and had quality time with our fellow participants and
learning experience. Every trip was filled with stories, songs, dances, music, and
dramas which therefore offered new experiences and many new things of life
skills.
Still Competing Who is the Best
“It
hurts if our friend fails, but it hurts even more if he comes first”- a famous
quote from the 3 Idiots movie is also connected to our FTC program like any
other student life. Some of us got that feeling nevertheless that’s not unusual.
Besides this, the race to achieve the Director General (DG) award to some
extent initiated a hidden unhealthy competition among the participants which
turned into jealousy slightly. At some point, we did stop feeling jealous and
envious even the most serious student. Finally, we’ve been able to experience
joy and pride in the accomplishments of my batch mates without feeling like we
haven’t measured up.
Cherished time we never want to
forget
As
time flies, I could say that NAPD days were filled with happiness, and sadness
and brought us a full of excitement. It’s like a full package gift that one
received in one’s entire life suddenly comes into one’s life.
I
know one fine day, I will be silently smiling with wet eyes, looking at the
memories from our FTC, and remembering all the good times I had in the FTC days
of the NAPD campus. Now I can relate to the famous quote of Tim McGraw that is:
-
“We all take different paths in life, but no matter
where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere.” – Tim McGraw
